TLDR : Answer Summary
Bringing pets from the UK to Thailand requires adherence to specific import regulations set by the Thai Embassy. It is important to note that pets cannot enter the Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) hotels; hence, they must be boarded separately. Services like Little Pet or Pet Hotel BKK provide boarding options with features like video streaming to watch pets during the owner's ASQ stay. When importing pets, ensure they are microchipped, vaccinated, and possess a medical certificate. Failure to meet the import time frame can render the medical certificate invalid, so planning is crucial. Many expats have shared experiences and suggestions in previous threads, indicating a supportive community for pet owners.

Dealing with pets after you’ve legally and safely got them into Thailand isn’t so much an issue as legally taking an animal out of country and legally importing them into another country. There are plenty of reputable kennels around BKK that will board your pet.

Jaye, other than following the pet import requirements from the Thai Embassy website, you can connect with the Little Pet or Pet hotel BKK. They have boarding packages with camera so you can see your pet while being in ASQ hotel and pick up services at the airport.
I'm taking my cat traveling for the first time. I'm freaking out myself. And I calm myself by writing down tasks to be completed, dated them, and check them off as I go along. We plan to be there at end of April. If your timeline is much later, I can update you our journey in messenger.

Strictly no pets in ASQ must pay for pet boarding or get someone to pick them up for you.
