TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns about taking a cat into Thailand while under ASQ (Alternative State Quarantine) restrictions that do not allow pets. Suggestions from the community include finding pet boarding services like Catdominium and Little Pet BKK for care during quarantine. There's also mention of enlisting friends or family to pick up the pet, and humorously, unconventional ideas for dealing with pet restrictions. Additionally, it's highlighted that importing pets involves obtaining the necessary permits from the Thai Embassy.

Could present it as your psychological support! They have carried support horses, pigs etc on planes with that claim!

could put it in a freezer and argue it's not a pet.

I'm using Little Pet BKK for boarding. Paid them by Xoom. Once received money, they forward the pick up driver's driving license and phone number. They walk you through the process of boarding.

For legal stuff, Thai Embassy listed all requirements of getting import permit for your pet. Long arduous process, but worth it.

You can have family or friend pick the cat up at the airport when you arrive. Or make arrangements to have him boarded until you get out.
