Hi All,

I need a new UK passport, which may take more than 6 weeks.

Does anyone know which immigration (preferably in the south of Thailand) lets you do the 30 day extension immediately after arriving on a 45 day exemption?

Samui immigration says you need to wait 2 weeks before you can extend.

Thanks in advance for any info. πŸ™πŸ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry pertains to obtaining a 30-day visa extension immediately after entering Thailand on a 45-day exemption, particularly in southern Thailand. The responses indicate that only Phuket appears to offer this service, while other locations, like Samui and Pattaya, have stricter rules requiring a longer wait before extending.

I can’t imagine any immigration office will do that .. I had a friend here ( Pattaya ) went 16 days before the end date of he’s 45 days , and was told to come back nearer the date 🀷🏽

It's generally only the large tourist areas. So in the south it's just Phuket.
