TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen with a Non O-A extension can have their husband piggyback on their visa status if he is also over 50. The husband would need to start with a Non Immigrant O visa based on being married to the visa holder and subsequently apply for an Extension of Stay before the 90 days of his visa expires.
