Hi everyone,
I came on a Non O 1 yr visa with my Thai wife, due to the pandemic and when i went to the immigration office here in Satun ( South thailand ), i was told that due to covid that i cannot go out to stamp my passport thus they had to cancel this Non O and gave me a 2 month visiting wife visa. I was told to keep a bank balance of 400k but again due to some circumstance i could not do it and they moved me on the stay in Thailand due to Covid and i recently got my last extension of 60 days ending in March.
The immigration office mention i cannot apply for the 1 yr visa and this despite i have the 400 k now in bank and not moving.
Now my question is how can i do to remain in Thailand pass this time and also if i do get a job can the company apply for a visa for me knowing i am inside the country.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual originally entered Thailand on a Non-O visa based on marriage but faced complications due to COVID-19, leading to a temporary 2-month visa granted without meeting the bank balance requirement. Now, with the 60-day extension ending soon and a sufficient bank balance, they seek guidance on securing a one-year visa extension based on marriage rather than applying for a new Non-O visa. Additionally, they inquire about the feasibility of a company sponsoring them for employment while they are currently in Thailand.
