Can my girlfriend apply for a DTV in Thailand if I already hold one?

Question

Hi all,

I am a DTV holder and would like my girlfriend to get it too. She has to do it from scratch and me having it has no influence right? Or I can do something for her?

Thanks!

Ask Thailand · Answer

A girlfriend of a DTV holder must apply for her own visa independently, as being a DTV holder does not provide any direct advantages for her application. To obtain the DTV, she will require her own finances and supporting documents. If the couple marries, she can apply for a dependent visa, but without marriage, she should submit her application with all the necessary personal information and financial documentation. Some users suggested providing a letter of financial support if she lacks sufficient income or funds.

Just get married

She will have to apply herself if you’re not married. But if she doesn’t have the funds or income and you’re worried about her financial position, then include a formal letter with her application stating you will be her financial sponsor and support her for any financial needs, details on your accommodation, bills, finances etc and add 3 months of your bank statements.

I did it for my partner, our application:
