What is the process and timeline for applying for a dependent visa in Thailand from Malaysia?

DTV application in Penang, Malaysia. Applied for a dependent visa for my daughter on my husbandโ€™s remote worker DTV.

Timeline: applied March 13. Approved March 24.

Visa fee: 1,600 MYR ($360 USD)

Nationality: American

We were emailed twice to request further documents: once on March 19 for a copy of fatherโ€™s passport + a new visa photo with no shadow. Then again on March 21 for another new visa photo that was clearer. (We ended up taking a new photo on our phones of higher quality, since the other one was a scanned copy of a photo taken in a studio)

We were emailed the approval letter, which we printed and entered Thailand through Phuket a few days ago with no issues. No documents requested or questions asked at immigration upon arrival.
