Can I apply for a DTV dependent visa before the main applicant's DTV is approved?

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the DTV dependent/spouse application at the Thai Consulate in Frankfurt.

Has anyone here successfully submitted a dependent DTV application before the main applicant’s DTV was already approved?

My husband has just submitted his DTV application and currently only has the application/reference number and “processing” status. The online system still allows me to continue with my dependent application, but one of the required documents is “DTV visa of the DTV holder”.

Did anyone upload:

the reference/application number,

a screenshot of the pending application,

and a short explanation letter instead of the approved visa?

Was this accepted by Frankfurt, or did they ask you to wait until the main applicant was approved first?

Would really appreciate any experiences.

Most Embassy accept a reference/application number and a screenshot to combine dependent applications..

Most Embassy understand that family members do not like to wait another few weeks for a visa,

BUT since the introduction of the DTV, the DTV holders start to explain that Embassy regulations changed or stopped. Somehow all changed based on new rules set by DTV holderes.

Check with your Embassy if they exept this faster way of applications.

Your application can only be submitted once your Husband’s visa is approved. If you submit it now it’ll likely be cancelled or rejected with no refund of the application fee.

You need to wait until your husbands DTV has been issued as you need to provide his visa number in your application
