Hi, im just about to pickup my non Im visa, with the exchange rate being so low, can I use some of the 400k bht today? Will this be checked again?

Okay the O/P was already on the 30 day under consideration stamp for the year extension of stay based on marriage to a thai national and went back to get that inked in.

At this time they are DONE with any financial requirements based on marriage (the rule is 400K baht in the bank for 2 months before and some places want it in the bank for the 30 day under consideration period) SO he is free to use that funds in the account as he sees fit..

IF you have received your passport with the one year extension of stay as Married to Thai. Then you can spend money in the account.

IF you have just applied for the one year extension of stay as Married, and you have an UNDER CONSIDERATION STAMP...

DO NOT SPEND ONE BAHT.

Until AFTER the one year extension of stay as Married to Thai is STAMPED into your passport.
