Can I add a 7-day extension to my already maximized tourist visa in Thailand?

Is it possible to tack a 7-day extension on the end of maximized tourist visas? We came in on a 60-day visa, extended it for 30 days, got a 7-day extension, exited and returned on a 30-day tourist, extended it (30), exited again (30) and extended again (30). This apparently is all that is allowed this year. However, we need an extra 7 days. Is a 7-day extension possible or is it better to overstay and pay the fine?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of obtaining a 7-day extension on their tourist visa after fully utilizing their current visa options, which include several extensions and entries. Comments indicate that under current regulations, the user has reached the limit for free 30-day visa entries and 30-day extensions. It is generally advised to avoid overstaying, as this could result in fines or difficulty re-entering Thailand. There are concerns about the validity of obtaining an additional 7-day extension.

Frankly IMHO, it's better that you LEAVE Thailand. You have abused the Thai Immigration entries AND will not be treated kindly if you are arrested for OVERSTAY. And be prepared to have your 7 day extension request DENIED by the Thai Immigration Officers..

It's been two land entries (visa exemption) per calendar year since 1th January 2017 so nothing new..

When I said โ€œall that is allowed this yearโ€ I meant โ€œcalendar year.โ€

One thing to bear in mind is that they don't have to give you that 7 days to leave the country stamp. It's up to the immigration officer and it starts on the day you get it, not added to your existing extension.

I donโ€™t think itโ€™s true - they give you 7 extra days from the end of the current extension, not from your application date

@Vitaly *******
๐Ÿšซ not correct... The count starts FROM the day you apply for the 7 days.

, of course, possibly being at the discretion of the officer.

but many got 7 days from the day of application and some even lost longer remaining days.

Were both your 30 day entries at land borders? If that's the case, there's no more for you this year

Yes, both were land borders.

AND

You are only allowed TWO free 30 day entry stamps by land in a calendar year, so if you bounced two times already you're done getting free entry stamps by land entries ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Now as far as the 7 day "application for extension not approved" stamp <-which ISN'T an extension but an extension denied stamp. Sure you can get it on every entry if you want to, and it doesn't count against you.

As a rule you should do EVERYTHING you can do to NOT overstay.. That should be the last resort if there's no other option and it should NOT be taken lightly as it can run you right off the rails

Good luck with it (y)
