TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa), it is not necessary to convert your funds to Thai baht. You can keep the funds in your bank account in Canadian dollars. However, ensure that your bank account is a standard checking or savings account in your name only, and not an investment account.

Just make sure the account is not in anyway an investment account, simple checking or savings in your name only.

It means I don't need to exchange my Canadian dollar into Thai baht before I apply for the DTV..... hence saving me one step. Not sure why that's a hard concept for you to understand
