Hi im roughly 6 months away from applying for DTV i have well over 500 000 thai baht in my savings account.
Is it fine to just stay in the savings account or should i be moving it to my current/cheque account.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing to apply for a DTV visa in about six months and is inquiring if their funds, which exceed 500,000 Thai Baht, should remain in a savings account or be transferred to a current account. Responses suggest it is acceptable to use a savings account, but some embassies prefer proof of funds in a current account with regular statements. It is advised to check specific embassy requirements regarding acceptable account types before applying.
I originally applied with money in savings account (London) and they asked for proof of my money is a current account, I transferred the 500k over and produced a statement within 7 days and was then approved.
Savings account is the safest option across all embassies. However, some embassies will accept brokerage accounts and other types of accounts. You can always check with the embassy prior to applying!
