Hey folks, for the workation DTV option, has anyone used funds in a Thai bank before? I currently have the required 500k in a Thai bank, but I couldn't find any information if that's allowed or not

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is permissible to use funds in a Thai bank account to meet the 500,000 THB requirement for the DTV visa. Users confirmed having done it successfully, though some noted it might raise questions about the account's purpose, particularly regarding compliance with Thai regulations. An interview may be required, and it's important to ensure the account is in your name and you have no commercial ties to Thais.

Yes I did it with a thai bank as was previously on a NON O. I then got asked for every page of my passport... was asked to come for an interview. At the interview they didn't question me about having a thai bank account, just asked if my Non O had been cancelled

Having the funds required for the DTV visa in a Thai bank account in your name only, should not be a problem.

it's allowed but that's gonna flag your application as you will have to explain why u got a thai bank account and make sure you got no business to do with thais
