Hello. I'm a Korean planning to apply for a DTV visa at the HCMC

I have about 550,000 THB in my Korean bank account, but the bank statement shows the amount in KRW, not USD or THB.

Dates and other info are in English, but only the currency is KRW.

Is it okay to submit this for the visa application?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Korean individual applying for a DTV visa in Thailand queries about the acceptance of a bank statement showing funds in KRW instead of THB or USD. In the replies, it is confirmed that submitting a statement in a foreign currency is generally acceptable as long as it equates to the required amount of 550,000 THB. Some commenters recommend including a conversion document to clarify the amount if necessary.

In a successful application I was party to, the statement was in a currency that the staff in HCMC may not have been familiar with. In order to make sure they were aware that it was over the 500k a note was added (pdf merged) to the statement showing the exchange rate from that currency to Thai baht.

Not sure if it was necessary or not, but it was easy enough to do.

It's the equivalent in THB , if GBP over £10,000 maybe if USD $12,000 + etc etc

Oh really? So did you write any notes about the currency? Or does the embassy calculate the exchange rate on their own?

they calculated it themselves. But the statement needs to be in English

No problem, many applicants submitted their bank statements in different currency to THB/USD. The key part is having the currency equivalent to 500k THB

I gave a UK GBP statement for the 500K and Japanese Yen statements for proof of income/salary. Each statement had THB equivalent amount and the exchange rate used - Taipei Embassy.

Yes it’s fine it’s equivalent to your local currency. You could if you wanted to be extra, supply a page showing the conversion from your currency to THB. Try to keep it at around 550, because currency rates can fluctuate daily.
