Under the new rules, is it possible to go from Thailand for a week to an approved territory (eg Vietnam) and come back to Thailand under a quarantine exemption?

Technically, if you follow the rules below, you’d have to stay abroad for 3 weeks to qualify for exemption - has anyone asked about it or have any insights?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Under the new quarantine exemption rules, traveling from Thailand to an approved territory like Vietnam and returning requires careful consideration of the 21-day stay requirement. It has been clarified that time spent in Thailand counts towards this duration, meaning a short visit may not fulfill the criteria for exemption. There are ongoing discussions and inquiries among both long-term visa holders and tourists regarding the specific application of these rules.

How you go to Vietnam right now and also get a PCR test there to come back?

I thinking about Cambodia will be possible soon.

Although only seen it talked about with long term visa holders, i presume its same for people on visa exemption/tourist visa

Your time in Thailand counts towards the 21 days. This was clarified before for people who left the country for short visits.
