Hi all, I apologise if this has been covered but I am on covid amnesty with a job offer. My stamp is under consideration at the moment and I will go back on 6th October for the stamp. My question is has anyone converted from a amnesty stamp to a Non immigrant visa whilst in the country? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is currently on a COVID amnesty stamp with a job offer and is inquiring about converting their status to a Non-Immigrant visa while remaining in Thailand. Community members clarify that an 'under consideration' stamp indicates the amnesty is no longer valid. The poster, who entered on a tourist visa, intends to apply for a Non-Immigrant Type B visa based on employment. Advice is provided on obtaining the appropriate stamps and documentation required, along with tips for appointments and processes when visiting immigration offices.

I have a question relating to this, can I return after October 6th for the second stamp or do I absolutely have to get the 2nd stamp on that date?
Tod *********
you go on the date your under consideration stamp says to show up unless that is a weekend OR a holiday.

So if your under consideration stamp says it runs out on the 2nd, that's the day you show up at the immigration office where you got the stamp :)

Okay, then, once you go back and get the 'under consideration' stamp in your passport changed to the 'extension of stay' stamp on the 6th of Oct you should be able to then apply for the in country 90 day Non-Immigrant Type B visa based on employment at the immigration office with documentation from your employer.

you're welcome. Expect to be reprimanded a little for not having stuff done earlier. Just nod and say sorry. Good luck!

I already have the under consideration stamp and don't need to go back until 6th October. I wondered where I needed to go to close the loop. I think building B.

Thanks Tod, that is very helpful! I have another quick question, I am trying to make an appointment online for my return for the under consideration stamp this week but the original place i went to Muangthong Thani does not appear in the list. Has the place changed again or do I not need an appointment for this?

Non B Visa.

and one more question, what reason will you be applying for a Non-Immigrant type visa for?
Anisa **************
ORIGINAL POSTER
No sorry I was just stamped In on arrival at the airport :-)
Tod *********
ahh now we're getting some where, you showed up here with no valid visa in your passport at all and were stamped in for 30 days :)

ORIGINAL POSTER
I was on a tourist visa
Tod *********
as in you BOUGHT a tourist visa from a thai consulate in another country before you came here and when you did come in you were stamped in for 60 days?
Tod *********
The real question is what entry stamp did you enter the country on back before the place locked down. That controls if you can or can't go from a 30 day embassy extension stamp to an in country Non-Imm visa
Tod *********
IF you have an under consideration stamp in your passport you're NOT on amnesty anymore :/
