On a DTV for Muay Thai. My gym membership is almost up for renewal, considering trying other gyms with DTV. Anyone out there do this yet? Any issues with the visa or need to report anything?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can join another gym while on a DTV visa for Muay Thai, as you are still engaging in the approved activity. There are no issues with the visa or reporting requirements when switching gyms.

It is ok to join another gym, you are still continuing the DTV activity you were approved for.

I would also say be on the front foot and still ask them for the letter…. You know how Thai rules can flip flop at any time πŸ‘ŒπŸ™πŸ½

I was just discussing similar with my trainer yesterday (A Gym Owner and I do not do MT lol). He has about 100 DTV's approved through his gym. Said he should offer a 1 year subscription model to these when course ends for say 10k THB. Supply all the documentation and they can call off lessons as and when.

yes, the same model that schools use to follow for the ED visas. It's a pity that once the toy got broken, those schools had to close down and get into some serious trouble. DTV gyms are going to be the next ;)

One other area we talked about briefly was keeping the Thai trainers employed and busy. That could be a problem going forward.

I can see this whole DTV thing being blown up in the next 6 months , especially with the recent changes in governments

This was discussed too. He had the same opinion as my ex Thai Colleagues. Should be 2 distinct DTV. A LTR "Lite" for Workaytion and associated income requirements. The SP one which ran the length of the course.
