TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa allows flexibility for activities like remote work, even if initially applied for soft power activities, such as Muay Thai training. However, if you extend your stay based on this visa, you would need to provide proof of enrollment in the Muay Thai course.

Basically yes but if you extend your stay at immigration you would need to provide evidence of a Muay Thai course enrollment.

thanks i can just apply as remote worker. But its a low paid job that im gunna take specifally for the dtv so i have a little extra money for day to day costs. I also have 2

Mil thai baht in savings. Would you think id get accepted as remote worker for dtv

It is probably better to apply as a remote worker if you can. There is no minimum income requirement. I was similar to you, I only had one contract I could apply with that qualified for the DTV but it was very limited income. All the embassies I contacted told me to apply regardless of income. I got mine via Taipei which is among the stricter embassies. 2m THB savings will be a big plus.

The 500k hould be in an readily accessible bank account. American embassies are more flexible with where it's kept
