Completed my first 90day check in. It was pretty easy.

Quick tips:

1. Fill in paperwork before getting there. You can download forms from immigration website.

2. Go before noon on Monday or Tuesday. Less of a crowd.

Took no more than 20 min.

Alternative for downloading is filing TM47 online, and when it got rejected because it is the first one of stay, just print the online filled form and take that to the immigration office.

In Jomtien you need to attach the physical TM30 copy. In Chiang Mai he does not look at it and scans passport. It does need to be complete and up to date though. In Jomtien if I travelled and returned to same address no need to update. In Chiang Mai it has to be resubmitted upon return from travel.

It is easy at Jomtien. Get the TM30, fill in TM47 form there and hand over to Asmin staff in building forst right as you enter. Usuallt takes 20 minutes or so. They collect the applications in batches at that desk and take through to the Immigratin Officer in batches. They give you a number and when the passports come back they shout out the number. I always went just before 9am and never out later that 9:30

the landlord sends it in me gives you a copy. You need to make sure it was submitted. If my chance they can’t find it or there is an issue you can present your copy.

It’s your proof.

Mondays and Fridays are usually the busiest, in the main cities, like Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

Go in the middle of the week, to avoid crowds.

I went to Chiang Mai. It was not bad. I was in and out in 20 min. Could be location as there is an office in the central mall. Plus I investigated before going. I found Mon-Tue was the lightest days.
