Quick question 👋🏻 honest answers PLZ . I have 15 days annual leave so Would it be possible to get a 90-day Non-Immigrant O ( Spouse ) visa from the Thai embassy before i arrive to Thailand

And in the 15 days of that 90-day permit, i apply for the 1-year extension at Immigration.

Or do I need to be in Thailand for the whole 90 days before applying for extension? Also when applying for extension can I apply with salary certificate from my job that is currently outside Thailand? Thanks a lot in advance.🌹

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user questions whether they can obtain a 90-day Non-Immigrant O (Spouse) visa from a Thai embassy before arriving in Thailand and apply for a 1-year extension during their leave. Community responses clarify that the extension can only be applied for after being in Thailand for most of the initial 90-day period, typically within the last 30-45 days. The need for an income certificate from their embassy and the complications of applying while outside Thailand are also discussed.

Even more difficult with a Non-O based on marriage as you still need to be down to the last 30-45 days of the 90 days you get stamped in for. Then when you apply for the 12 month extension of stay it goes under consideration for a month or so during which time immigration may want to visit your home to confirm that you and your wife live together. I don't see how any of that is possible if you only have 15 days leave per annum. Perhaps if you can explain why you want a Non-O visa at all given you can only come for 15 days per annum we could help suggest an alternative

SincereRaccoon3227 sounds like you would be better applying for the 90 day Non-O visa when you resign from your current job and just before you move to Thailand and then once you and your thai wife return to Thailand doing the 12 month extension of stay

Just another point. If you apply for a retirement visa then you are supposed to be retired :D

You have to apply for a Non O visa from your home country. But in your situation, you should just use the 60 day tourist visa. When you're ready to come on a more permanent basis, you need to do your research ahead of time and make sure you're doing everything correctly and don't try to cheat the system.

It's your country's Embassy in Thailand that makes the income letter to give immigration, so you need to check with them if that's possible. Also Immigration will ask you to come back later if it's over 30 days until expiry date. Sounds like in your case you are not quite ready yet for this process

he didn't say retirement visa, if it's non-o can be marriage visa? If so in his case it's 400k, but yeah, you have to stay the whole period here as the 90 day visa its single entry, then be in the kingdom for the 2 months period of money deposited in the account and then you're ready to apply for yearly extension, they had me wait 2 more weeks after applying for result and i got result few days before my 90 days expired. Only after that can apply for re-entry permit so you go and come as you please.

You won't be able to do that. You can only apply for an extension of stay when you are down to the last 30-45 days of the 90 days you get stamped in for with the Non-O visa. You would only be able to use your home income if the embassy you would use inside Thailand will issue you with an income certificate, else you would need a minimum of 800k baht in a Thai bank account
