Can I still report my 90 days by mail and do I need to report on January 27th after switching from an ED to a Non-B visa?

Hi, can I have two questions regarding 90 days reporting?

1. Is it still possible to do it by snail mail?

1. Do I have to do my next 90 days report on 27January when I will change my visa type (ED->Non B) before that? First I will cancel my ED visa and leave Thailand to apply for Non-B.

Thank you for an answer!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about two aspects of the 90-day reporting requirement in Thailand: whether it can still be done via mail and when to report if switching from an ED visa to a Non-B visa. The discussion clarifies that the reporting period is based on the individual's presence in Thailand rather than the visa type. However, if the user is exiting to switch visas, the 90-day reporting will only start after applying for the first extension on the new visa.

unfortunately
@Ja***
that is not quite correct. :/

IF you are canceling an extension (based on education) and leaving the country to get a NEW visa, you won't start 90 day reporting until AFTER you apply for your first extension on it.

Thanks Tod and James. Can you please also answer my first question? Reporting by mail is still possible (after the first report has been done in person) ?

The 90 days started with your first entry into Thailand and each successive 90 days. Your visa does not matter. Its being in Thailand 90 days that counts.

I forgot to write (already edited) that I will leave Thailand to apply for the new visa.
