TLDR : Answer Summary
After submitting a DTV visa application, it is generally advised to remain in the country where the application was made, as leaving could risk visa denial or cancellation. Several commenters emphasize that leaving Thailand could lead to complications, such as being called for an interview or having the application rejected. Therefore, while technically possible, leaving the country after submission is not recommended and could result in negative consequences.

You're required to stay physically in the country where you applied for the visa. Pretend you went to the embassy and handed them your passport and application. That's how the embassy sees it.

They've been known to call people in for an interview to ensure they're still in the country, or ask for other types of proof. If you're not able to meet the requirements they ask for, they will reject your application without refund.
