TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster faced a cancellation of their DTV visa due to a mismatch in their name. They are considering applying for the visa again while planning to fly to Thailand within a week. However, commenters strongly advise against this, stating that it is risky and may lead to a visa refusal, as Thai consulates expect applicants to remain in the country where they apply until their visa is processed.

That’s against the rules and risky if they are you for proof of location or an interview

That's a really bad idea and risks getting a refusal. Thai consulates expect you to remain in the country you apply from until the process completes and have been known to require proof of this

Ofc its not a good idea. You got canceled the first time and lost the 10.000 Thb, do this and your application will be rejected, this time.

Not a wise idea. Stay in the country where you are applying for the DTV visa until it's approved or not.

There have been reports of people doing that successfully but it is against the rules so doing that is risking another rejection. Choose wisely.
