TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the safety of returning to Phuket while their DTV visa application was still pending in Kuala Lumpur. The majority of responses advised against returning to Thailand, indicating that leaving Malaysia during the application process could jeopardize the visa approval, as immigration may check the applicant's whereabouts. Generally, it is recommended to stay in Malaysia until a decision on the visa is made, with responses indicating an average wait of 3-5 weeks for a response.
No you should not go back to Thailand. While visa application is still in process in KL. They can check your actual location, if they find out you left Malaysia they will not continue prrocessing your application. You wait around a month or more applying from KL. LOL good luck
You should stay in KL until your visa is approved. DTVs have been rescinded when immigration finds out the applicant was in Thailand during the DTV process
