For Tourist Visa Extension, anyone who if you can get the extension with the reason of tourism (2.4) since many embassies won't issue a Certificate. Has anyone been to the Immigration and successfully get this Type of Visa Renew?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the possibility of extending a Tourist Visa in Thailand based on tourism without needing a certificate from an embassy. Several users share their experiences, noting that a 30-day extension is available if you hold a 60-day tourist visa. They caution to apply as close to the end of the amnesty period as possible and highlight that while this can be done in specific locations like Bangkok Anyang Thong, some immigration offices do not issue extensions.

No one can get a extension on expired stamp ,if you are on a 1 year visa multiple entry it can be done

Most officers said just wait and see what happens with the amnesty announcement if it will not be extended just come back closer to the end of the month and apply for the extention

did you see how they have the chairs set up already in the parking garage spaced out and READY for the hordes of people? That leads me to believe that something is going to happen that will make people on amnesty go to the immigration office :O

However, I *DO NOT* recommend getting this extension of stay until it is as close as possible to July 31; the last day of amnesty.

You don't need a certificate to request a 30 day extension of stay based on being a tourist if you have a 60 day tourist visa.

, granted the elite visa is NOT for everyone, but if you're under 50, not married to a thai, not raising half thai children, not going to school, not volunteering, not married to a foreigner who works here legally, and not working here legally yourself the elite visa IS a good solid choice.

I bet I know of over 100 people on it (from the life time, the 20 year, the family one and the 5 year) and to a person they all say it does exactly what it is sold to do..
