I applied for a DTV under a cooking program at the Korean Embassy a week ago, but today I received a rejection email from the embassy. There were no missing documents.
In this situation, do you think there’s a chance if I revise the letter to the ambassador and reapply? Or is it basically impossible to reapply at the same embassy once it’s been rejected?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user recently had their application for a DTV visa under a cooking program rejected by the Korean Embassy, despite submitting all required documents. They are seeking advice on whether they can resubmit their application after revising their letter to the ambassador. Several comments indicate that reapplying is possible, but understanding the reason for the rejection is crucial for a stronger application. Suggestions include contacting the embassy for clarification, trying a different embassy, and ensuring all paperwork is correct to avoid errors.
If your work is related to cooking (example you are a chef), they might have got triggered you could work here illegally. I suggest you you either to mail or call them and politely ask what it didn't work out. Keep in mind that they aren't supposed to explain the reason for the rejection so avoid criticisms
I would try to apply at a different embassy if you believe you had everything. Some places are more strict than others. I was approved in hcmc with soft power cooking classes a year ago
It's been mostly great, still getting used to the chaotic traffic in Bangkok. It's mostly easy, lots of people speak english, locals are friendly and most things are available through an app.
I assume you have a korean passport. Lucky it's free for you to apply for the dtv. Dont have to lose any money being rejected. I helped my Korean friend apply with a cooking school in hanoi, no issues at all
I didn’t receive any request for additional documents. It was rejected outright.
I’m not sure why it was rejected. I explained everything about the business I run and the work I’ve done related to Thai cuisine. I also submitted proof of sufficient savings for the past six months.

Anonymous participant why do you think the letter is what caused your application to be rejected? Did they ask for any additional documents during the process?
