Can I re-enter Thailand via land on a Tourist Visa if I've already used my extension?

Question:

- I have applied and been granted a 60 day Tourist Visa. It hasnโ€™t been used/activated yet.

- I am now staying on 30 days+30 days extension.

- I have already had 2 land border entries in this calendar year (2023)

So, from my understanding, itโ€™s clear that I canโ€™t have another 30 days via border bouncing over land -

But what about leaving and entering again via land on the approved TR visa?

Or does the rule about entries by land border still apply? ๐Ÿค”

Would be great to gain some clarity on this! ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ™โœจ

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the ability to re-enter Thailand by land on a valid 60-day Tourist Visa, after having already utilized a 30-day stay plus an extension and completed two land border entries within the same year. Comments clarified that while land border re-entries are limited without a visa, if a valid TR (Tourist) visa is held, there is no limit on how many times it can be utilized for border crossings.

Sorry to jump on post so you mean if you have a valid tr60 visa you could go say Cambodia in out then Vietnam say in out as many times as you want with in your 60 days ?

@Aly ******
a TR60 is a single entry tourist visa. You could in theory buy a re-entry permit but that wouldn't make sense. You could instead enter Thailand with the free visa exempt entry stamp giving you 30 days and can be extended once another 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand.

Side question : is there a way to see if that visa is still valid ? I've heard that if one enters on visa exempt while having a visa granted, the visa gets void ? Or maybe I get things confused ?

@Tito ********
no, that's only if they notice and require you to use the visa. But if the visa is issued after you enter which commonly happens if the application isn't processed in time, the visa should be valid.

As long as it is still valid should be fine

And don't use the Poipet border crossing to activate that tourist visa.

Don't confuse the rules entering by land WITHOUT a valid visa (visa exempt) where you can do it two times a year, with entering by land WITH a valid visa which has no limit at all.

IF you have a valid VISA you can enter by land as many times as you want, it's only visa exempt (free entry) that has a limit of two land border entries per calendar year
