Hi, I am in Thailand now, I am coming to the end of a 60 day tourist visa plus 30 day extension.

My query is can I leave via land border and get a 30 day exemption on reentry?

Cheers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about leaving Thailand after their 60-day tourist visa and 30-day extension, specifically asking if they can exit via a land border and receive a 30-day exemption upon reentry. Comments confirm that it is possible to reenter with a 30-day exemption via a land border, but caution that this counts against the two allowable 30-day visa exempt entries per calendar year.

yes, you can do, provided you not have the two entries(30day entry stamp) from another land border within this year.

You can then extend that new 30 day entry for 30 days then doing it again...so it's effectively 7 months within one calendar year.

you certainly can, but you will use one of the two 30 day visa exempt entries you can get by a land border in a calendar year.
