TLDR : Answer Summary
The query revolves around whether health insurance for the COVID-19 pandemic, required for a Thailand TR visa, can be obtained from foreign providers or if it must be sourced from Thai companies. Responses indicate that while many recommend insurance from Thai providers due to governmental lists of approved insurers, some users have successfully used international insurance policies. A few users mention specific providers and share experiences related to health insurance, covering COVID-19, at various rates.

I went back to the link. You are correct that there is no TR option. I also test. It looked like price depends on the country (or risk of country). China and Australia are 3840, Germany 6400, USA

. All the price are for 90 days with work permit.

Steve King not speak nonsense. This is 10 month coverage. And not only this. Also endorsement for wyarentine status. 1500 euro less franchigia already approved and give back in 45 days. Vith this i yust enter in thailand on 28 september. Finish my ASQ on 13 october. Its all. But if you buy thai insurance the first 30 day you are not any coverage. And price is terrible espensive. So no speak nonsense. You dont know nothing about this.

I am confused now. Whats the reason I can not get travel insurance? For instance I can get travel insurance in my country for 90 days, with medical expenses up to 450k USD, it also covers a wide range of COVID-19 risks. Its around 200e, its pretty cheap.

I’ve seen it as I had to go through the whole dilemma and my insurance is not through a Thai company.

I think there is a link on the London Thai Consulate website.

Also I would advise to contact the insurance companies direct. No need for an agent. Your giving them money for nothing!
