Insurance question: if I get an insurance policy that only covers for covid 19 up to 50k usd coverage , would that be allowed to pass for the Thailand pass ? It's with Luma one of the Thai companies and here is an example of what the certificate would look like

TLDR : Answer Summary
A COVID-19 insurance policy providing coverage of $50,000 is generally accepted for the Thailand Pass, as this meets the minimum coverage requirement of $50,000. Questions regarding the necessity of additional health insurance were raised, with some commenters seeking more information about affordable options and instant certification for coverage.

Did you ever find out more precisely?

I would like to know. My understanding was that you didn’t need general health insurance at all.

The requested coverage is minimum 50k USD, so... yes, it's enough.

and it's fine that it only covers covid only and nothing else ?

It's 7500 baht for covid only cover for 1 year

And like 23,000 baht for covid and other health stuff cover for 1 year

My visa is for 1 year that's why I need to get a one year coverage one

In theory you can use two different insurances, one for "just" health and one for only Covid. But it might be more easy to get approved if you have only one for everything.

You need to cover the full time of (planned) stay. So it's not about the visa, it's about your booked flights at the time you apply for the Thailand Pass. If you plan to stay two month then the insurance have to be two month.

it's also confusing because the requirements also specify "covid insurance" thus theoretically covid only insurance should work

That was before (CoE), now we have Thailand Pass. New name, new rules. Before they only required a Covid insurance, but for 100k.

Oops... my bad... I didn't saw the "only Covid". No, it must be a health insurance which also includes Covid. The coverage must be for the complete time that you plan to stay.
