Can I obtain a certificate of residence in Thailand if I plan to stay at my condo only occasionally?

I already have the DTV and would like to establish a compliance residency here.

To do so, I plan to rent a condo for 12 months and, if necessary, sign up for an internet service in my name (so I can provide a utility bill).

However, I plan to be at the condo only occasionally and to be in Thailand only occasionally as well—I’m a perpetual traveler.

To obtain the certificate of residence, you need a lease agreement, possibly a utility bill, and the TM30 registration.

Can you get the certificate of residence after just a short stay, or do you first have to prove (with the TM30) that you’ve lived in the condo for a certain period of time?

Does anyone here have any experience with this?
