How can I obtain a Certificate of Residence in Thailand on a Student Visa?

Hi Admins, please help approving my message, thanks in advance. Hello, I am located in Bangkok and I need to get/apply for Certificate of Residence to show proof that I am currently residing in Thailand under my Student Visa.

I tried googling how to get it, and I saw two ways:

- Ask my current school to create an endorsement letter to ask Thai Immigration in Bangkok to create the certificate for me, and I will be able to get the said document within the day if I go there early in the morning.

- the other one is just to walk in the morning, fill up the form and submit it somewhere, and the form will be sent via mail either within 2 to 1 week.

I asked my school about creating the letter, but they said they don't make that letter and just go to the immigration (and they're not being helpful with providing more info).

Can anyone guide me how to get that document? I really at lost here.

You need to show proof of where you are living, rented room whatever, you cant get one by filling in a form.

Do you not have a TM 30, your landlord should inform immigration if you are staying their, then you get a TM 30

It depends whats the purpose u need the residency cert for .....I got mine from my embassy (thai driving licence) apply in the morning and got it in the afternoon same day

Nonthaburi is notoriously difficult to obtain the letter you require...

currently living at Phra Khanong, but I did my first visa extension for my student visa at chaengwattana

JoyfulHedgehog2185 That had to have your address. You have it (TM30), that is what you need, unless you have moved to another place, new TM30.

Go to immigration and apply. Take your passport and copies of your data and stamp pages, a passport photo, a copy of a TM30 receipt from your landlord
