Hi, everyone. I'm heading out of Thailand for a little while. My visa expires on April 27th. My plane leaves the morning of the 28th. Am I correct in my thinking that as long as I pass through Immigration at the airport on the 27th that I'm OK to wait for my plane on the 28th..? Thank you in advance for any help/advice that someone may offer me. Have a great weekend...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks whether passing through Immigration at the airport on the day their visa expires is sufficient for them to wait for their flight the next day. Responses indicate that as long as they go through Immigration on the expiration date, they should generally be fine, and that there is commonly a one-day grace period for overstays. However, some comments suggest that the timing of the flight may affect this, particularly regarding check-in procedures.

In principle, yes, but I think it would depend on what time your flight is in the morning. If it's at 1am, sure. If it's at 7am and you need to go to the check-in desk first, which doesn't open until 2-3 hrs before the flight, I think you wouldn't be able to pass immigration without the boarding pass. In that case I'd just rely on the one-day grace period.

Once you're past immigration who is going to look at your passport other than when you board the plane.
