TLDR : Answer Summary
You can book your flight to leave Thailand on the same day your visa expires (19th February) as long as you pass through immigration before 11:59 PM on that date. Although some commenters mention that flying out the morning of the 20th is technically possible, it is crucial not to re-enter the airport after midnight to avoid overstaying your visa, which carries penalties. Overstaying by a day incurs a fine, but leaving on the day your visa expires is compliant with Thai immigration rules.

It’s fine and overstaying by 1 day should be a 500 baht fine (last time I got one it was at least)

Why risk a possible 5 year ban for going on overstay? A low risk, yes, but a severe penalty if caught.

Definitely best not to risk it. Just pointing out that it’s 100% complaint to leave the day it expires and that if overstaying for 1 day, the result should be a 500 baht fine.

I'm just pointing out it might not be fine despite what these posters are staying, some people have paid the price for a minor overstay so it is real

But leaving on the 19th wouldn’t be an overstay

Your flight can actually be early morning on the 20th however you must go through immigration before 11:59 as stated above. Once you go through immigration you are considered not in Thailand 🇹🇭.

What ever you do, do not go back out into the airport as when you back through security/immigration you will be an overstay if it is after midnight.

You have to pass the Immigration at the Airport latest at 11:59 pm on 19th, then you are on the safe side, even if your flight goes later.
