Visa Questions...... need the right information as there seems to be alot of different answers....

My Visa expires on March 29th.

My first question is ...

Can I get 60 day Visa as my return flight is on May 15th..... ( really need to use for 45 days)

I believe I can get 30 Day Visa.

Looked into the possibility that I might need to change my flight but very very limited flights back to Canada in late April.

I am in Chiang Mai until March 28th....

Second Question is where is the best place to get an Extension in Chiang Mai.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about visa options as their current visa is expiring on March 29th and they need to stay in Thailand until May 15th. They want to know if they can obtain a new 60-day visa as they believe a 30-day visa is more likely. Additionally, they are asking about the best locations in Chiang Mai to apply for an extension. The responses indicate that a 30-day visa extension is possible and highlight immigration office options in Chiang Mai. They also suggest that flights to Canada are available if needed.

What visa are you currently on? If you're on a 30 day visa exemption / visa on arrival, you can extend that once for a further 30 days.

if you're already on a 60 day tourist visa, you can also extend that once for an extra 30 days.

If you've already got your extention, your only option would be to leave Thailand (Best to go to a neighbouring country like Laos or Cambodia) and either return on a visa exempt / Visa on arrival, or apply for a 60 day tourist visa at the Thai Embassy.

There are plenty of flights to Canadan via Hong Kong , Tokyo , Seoul and more. I use those waya all of the time. I prefer ANA though..

You can get ONE extension for 30 days. If you wanted a visa you have to get that before you travel to Thailand.

I highly doubt there's not many flights available to Canada though.

You can apply for an extension at the main immigration office near the airport, or at Central festival.
