I'm on a 60 day extended visa exemption and need to stay another month in Thailand.

I really can't be arsed sitting on a bus for day to do a land border run. Can I just fly in/out and get another 30 day exemption?

I previously entered Thailand on a 30 day exemption in August 2016.

What is the cheapest/fastest way to do an air re-entry?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user on a 60-day extended visa exemption is seeking advice on whether they can take a flight in and out of Thailand to obtain another 30-day exemption without doing a land border run. Comments indicate that it is possible to fly in and out multiple times for visa exemptions, and suggest options for quick flights, such as to Kuala Lumpur. Additionally, there are recommendations for having sufficient funds on arrival and hints at the advantages of using a tourist visa for longer stays.

If I have a sixty day visa does that mean I don't need to go anywhere or do I have to report to immigration after thirty days excuse my ignorance last time I left the country

You only report to immigration if you want to stay longer than your Visa. In your case, 60 day Tourist Visa, you will report to Immigration for them to extend it to 90 days total. If you don't want 90 days, then just depart before the date on your visa.

KL is a good option, as mentioned above. If you're flexible about times you can get a return for around thb2,000. For an extra 1,200 you can also get fast track in the way in - great for avoiding queues at Immigration if you're flying in at a busy time and want to avoid fighting with Mainland Chinese for 2 hours.

another tip is to book two one way tickets so you can get the time points closer.

Some airlines have it built into their program you can book a r/t flight with really tight time points.

Ignore the panick posted by the 0.01%. Have the required money on you, in your case 10k baht and smile. Enjoy the sound of the stamp and your back

There are no rules that limits you to how many times you can fly in/out, so you should take advantage of the free 30 day visa exemption especially if you aren't staying longer than 30 days this time, there's no reason to apply for a Visa. But next time it is more convenient to stay 60 days with a Tourist visa plus 30 day extension (90 days total) so you don't have to fly out/in after only 60 days.
