We are visa exempt, We have stayed here 30 days and then extended a another 30 days at the immigration office.

We want to now go to the boarder and back for another 30 days.

Can you do this?

We have been told by a visa services that takes people for boarder bounce, that we need to stay over night and get a tourist visa at the consulate.

I thought we would be fine with a boarder run or flight. ??

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is asking if they can perform a border run to extend their visa exempt stay after already extending it once. They received conflicting advice, questioning whether they need to stay overnight and obtain a tourist visa at a consulate. However, the comments clarify that a border bounce is possible, but only two visa exempt entries are allowed via land borders within a calendar year. Flying to Kuala Lumpur and back would not count against this limit, as there is no maximum entry restriction for airport entries.

No problem, if you fly out and back in, no problem there is no maximum of Visa Exempt Entry on airports only on land borders.

So my question Joseph Michael Pedro III and Robert Lagas

Is the Visa service correct?

Do we need to go to a consulate in Penang or Satun?

ORIGINAL POSTER
Satun, or we will just fly to KL

this is what the visa company said to me just now...

Visa Run service is suitable for those who need to cross the Thai border for extension of tourist multiple entry visa or NON B, NON O, NON ED visa.

This company seems to understand that there are several rules for Visa Exempt Entry and decided not to provide that service to avoid problems at the border.

You can do a border bounce, be aware that you can only have 2 visa exempt entries from land borders in a calendar year.

We are fine with just the one exempt entry and the 30 day extension..

We just want to go in and out for 30 more days.
