TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired about the possibility of securing a teaching position in Thailand while on a tourist visa, specifically for teaching science or English as a non-native speaker. The consensus among commenters is clear: working on a tourist visa is strictly prohibited. While you can attend job interviews, you must leave Thailand to apply for a NON-B visa for legitimate employment. The comments also caution that competition is fierce for teaching jobs, especially for native speakers, and suggest considering teaching science as an alternative to English.

Because if the huge number of Americans, Brits, Aussies, Canadians and Kiwis looking for teaching jobs, you'll be behind the eight ball as the better schools prefer native English speakers. Perhaps focus on the science aspect. Although less jobs available, the competition wouldn't be so stiff

U can interview with your potential employer on a tourist visa, but to work, u must exit Thailand and apply for Non-B
Non-B is usually applied when the applicant is in overseas for work and business purposes , but under the circumstances that u can convert to Non B visa if you already have a valid work permit from previous Non B visa but exit Thailand to get a travel visa, then when u reenter, u can convert your travel visa to a Non-B visa, but it is called “convert “ rather than “apply”.
