TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can fill out the new arrival card (TDAC) at the airport when you arrive in Thailand. However, many recommend completing it online before your flight to avoid delays and potential issues at check-in, as airlines may require proof of completion. It's also possible to do it while in transit, but being prepared in advance can expedite your entry process. Some travelers successfully submitted the TDAC a few days before arrival and found it beneficial, as immigration officers can see the completion linked to your passport.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Only takes 5 mins lol daft not to haha
David *******
You have to do it online
Phillip ********
Yes . Yes you can
Steve ***********
I flew Qatar from London Heathrow, I had to show it during check in at the desk, and I had already completed online checkin
Wayne *********
You can but then you’re reliant on everything working correctly at a critical moment. If there is even the slightest issue with the system you’re going to be stuck at the airport until it is resolved.

I know when I filled mine out there was an issue with getting the confirmation email and QR code. Thankfully it was 3 days prior and I had time to wait for the system to fix itself.
Greta *****
What's the point?
David **********
KLM asked to see mine before the flight.
Ian *****
It's digital....do it at airport when leaving, much easier than trying to do in arrivals
David *******
Just do it 3 days before it take only a few minutes, answer to your question yes up to you, if more people want to do it at the airport it will just take you longer and you have to have more information on hand as well so it’s easy to do it at home

yes , well said. That applies to me I’m afraid. I’m no youngster& well passed middle age, keeping up with modern communication can be rather demanding unfortunately. Sadly I’m sure any 12 year old would be far more advanced in that field & I doubt I’m alone.
Stephen *********
@William *****
I'll be 71 next month and feel quite comfortable with using most forms of modern technology. The world is changing and keeping up can be a challenge - but, the benefits of embracing the changes can be significant.

I can't image how I ever got by without google maps, banking apps, WhatsApp etc
William ******
@Stephen ********
I’m 76 and not that technically minded I’m afraid, partially due to lack of interest in all this ever increasing Hi tech development. So in a way my own fault.

Your comments thoughtfully noted though.
Erick ********
Sure. Welcome to Bkk
Gary ********
Why would you be bothered to wait. Pointless post unless you have been living under a rock.
Nongnuch ********
Actually, if you have submitted the TDAC and received the confirmation email before your flight, you will most probably not be asked anything by the Immigration officer. When theys can your passport, they can see on their monitor that you had submitted a TDAC, so in order to speed the entry process, they won't ask you to show it

@Nongnuch *******
I made 1 little mistake and they let me through no problem 😊 👌

It’s very easy, did mine in 5 minutes

I was asked to confirm that I had completed the TDAC at check-in (flight from DaNang).

I did mine on my phone - easy and straight forward - can't think of any logical reason for not doing it.
Brian *********
@Stephen ********
I am going to Bangkok for 4 days then on to DaNang for 5 days then back to Bangkok do I have to do it twice
Ivan *********
@Brian ********
a lot of messing about
Rick *********
@Ivan ********
yes I agree……and when I came back from Laos last week I had done a new TDAC, but they didn’t even ask for it at customs/immigration. So I was kind of annoyed. But it’s free to do so better safe than sorry I guess.
Stephen *********
@Rick ********
I assumed it was linked to my passport and I would have been questioned if I hadn't done it 🤔
Stephen *********
@Brian ********
as I understand it, you need to do it for each entry to Thailand.
Ivan *********
@Stephen ********
what if your phone battery dies or stops working ?
Stephen *********
@Ivan ********
or if your biro stops working and there are none to be had to fill in the paper version 🤔
Ivan *********
@Stephen ********
I went in January until March this year and only had to show my uk passport not filled a paper version in since 2020 before covid.
Rick *********
@Ivan ********
it only became a requirement on May 1st of this year.
Ivan *********
@Rick ********
yes I know but why bother I've been 3 times since covid and only needed my uk passport. How is this going to speed things up if they have to keep looking at people's phones
Stephen *********
@Ivan ********
You an do it on a PC/Mac or phone and print the attached pdf. It is linked to your passport - I was not asked to show my QR code
Patrick **********
@Stephen ********
Having a smartphone is not mandatory by law. And more people than you think don't know how to handle internet. Do you want to bar them from traveling?

Yes as long as you fill it out before immigration
Andrew ********
You can yes but if you have all the info needed you can do it 3 days before arrival. They will ask you for confirmation you filled it out. If you have not they will pull you out of line to a board with qr code to do it.
Kenny *****
Yes but why! When you can fill it out right now in a few mins. If you do it at the airport youre going to have to queue in back. Everyone else is in line while you’re on the side filling out your info.

Yes. You can do that. But You should rather to do it in the taxi on the way to the airport.

I saw many people doing it on the arrivals though, there are kiosks.
Paul ********
@Upadhyay ********
all on line now easy
Tony *********
Yes,but it means delay
Willem ****
Yes
Brandon ************
Yes, if you can get that far. Multiple reports of airlines requiring the TDAC before letting you check-in for your flight

Emirates asked if I'd submitted mine before leaving uk

Oman Air asked to see my TDAC prior to checking my in.
Luc ************
@Brandon ***********
correct. Emirates asked me to show the TDAC ar the check-in counter in Brussels.
Kevin ********
@Brandon ***********
yes I was asked at check in if I had done my TDAC and you have to show them

If you haven’t they ask you to do it or they will refuse to check you in

That’s with Turkish airlines
Barrie *********
@Brandon ***********
why are Airlines sticking there nose into countries Imigration ????
Brandon ************
@Barrie ********
You say that like it's something new. Airlines check for visas and the like often. Because it's their responsibility to return you if you are denied entry for not meeting entry requirements.
Barrie *********
@Brandon ***********
Yes I know all that. But I had to buy a return or onward ticket into Cambodia when they offer Visa on Arrival???
Danny *******
@Barrie ********
If you knew why did you ask?
Brandon ************
@Barrie ********
Because that's an entry requirement and you can be denied entry for not having it
Paul **********
@Brandon ***********
we flew on 3 flights ,3days ago , no one ever asked or looked at our TDAC
Mark ******
@Brandon ***********
no one at KLM asked for mine,and the immigration officer in Bangkok never asked for the QR code neither....
Gary **********
@Mark *****
flew today from Siem Reap, Cambodia. Not asked departing or at immigration on arrival. Did the arrival card online 2 days ago. Took couple mins. Came back approved straight away.
Brandon ************
@Mark *****
That doesn't change the fact that multiple people have reported their airline asking to see their TDAC at checkin
Jan ******************
@Mark *****
No one asked in the immigration because you already did your TDAC visible when they scanned your passport.
