Hi I'm on my education visa and leaving the country for a few days and been told I will need a re entry permit ...where in the airport can I obtain this and would I still need to do this new online tdac as well

Yes you need a re entry. Sometimes there may ve issues with this on an Ed Visa as you are supposed to be studying, not travelling.

I'd get a letter from your school saying you have permission.

You have to do the TDAC absolutely every time you enter Thailand. It does not matter if you have a visa of any type, you still have to do the TDAC.

Even if you leave Thailand for a few hours, you to do it before re entry.

Those two things have nothing to do with each other 😮

you need a re-entry permit before you EXIT the country and you need to do a TDAC before you ENTER.

You get a re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang Airports

here's the TDAC website 🙂 you can file one from 3 days before your arrival to thailand down until you actually arrive here (and if you can't manage to file one in that time frame they have kiosks at the airports to fill them out after you land)
