Why isn't the TDAC QR code required when entering Thailand?

a simple question I used the THIM app to do my TDAC. In a previous post I mentioned how fast and user friendly it was. After i received a QR code. When entering Thailand I was not asked for a QR code and no scanner to place it. why give a QR code if there is no use for it?
