TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking to extend their stay in Thailand for 30 days but was informed that they require a letter from their embassy. Without this letter, the maximum extension granted will only be for 7 days. The conversation also raises the importance of knowing the user's country and the type of entry stamp they received.

you mean you entered last from Cambodia and got a new 30 day visa exempt entry stamp when you came in. That's fine, shouldn't have a problem getting one 30 day extension
yep, you can get one 30 day extension on every ENTRY to thailand. So if you're here on a new 30 day entry stamp you can get one 30 day extension for 1900baht.
I think they thought you wanted a 60 day covid extension.
BUT your embassy gives that letter easily, email them and they'll send you one if you want
Thank you now I understand. Maybe they misunderstood and only saw the old extension they gave and not the one from cambodia because the stamps on my passport is a mess and not really in order
You didn't get ANY extension when you went to Cambodia, you got a tiny RED entry stamp and you need to show them that stamp so you can apply for a 30 day extension (without the embassy letter).
Find THIS stamp you got when you entered Thailand from the Cambodia border
