Hi, i am already in Thailand travelling on a uk issued 60 day tourist visa that I applied for in advance. Am I able to extend this for an extra 30 days near the time it ends as I’ve been told a 60 day visa is that only and it’s non extendable.
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can extend your 60-day tourist visa for an additional 30 days while you are in Thailand. This extension can be obtained by applying at the Immigration Office in your area. The process generally involves submitting your application along with a fee of 1900 baht. It's best to apply for the extension well before your current visa expires, typically within the last 30 days of your initial visa. Note that some nationalities may have different rules regarding extensions, so it's important to check your eligibility.
Yes I obtained a 60 day visa in Liverpool this year for an 87 day stay and was advised in Liverpool to get an extension during my 60 days, though sooner rather than later which cost 1900 baht for 30 day extension
You apply for an Extension of Stay at the Immigration Office in your area. You get the Extension directly in your passport and added to your current Admitted until date stamped in your passport. Most Immigration Offices you can do this between 30 days and the Admitted until date in your passport.
Most countries can get the 30 days Extension of Stay, these countries can not ( In case of the following natinalites ,extension of stay permit will not be longer than 7 days ; Sri Lanka India,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Iran,Nepal,Togo,Nigeria,Uganda )
