Hi,

I came in Thailand without tourist visa, so I had 30 days then I did my 30 days extension and I heard about an additional extension I can do something like 10 more days.

Do you know if I can extend my visa even just 10 days without going out of the country?

Thanks

Hi everyone this question is from my boyfriend ..if anyone could help and give us the answer would b really nice ..Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of extending their stay in Thailand for an additional 10 days after already obtaining a 30-day initial stay and a subsequent 30-day extension. The community responses suggest that extending the visa further without leaving the country is likely to be denied, providing options such as applying for a tourist visa or performing a border run, as one can only extend twice per year by land. The discussions also highlight the importance of different entry methods and the regulations around visa exemptions.

Best option is to apply for tourist Visa, gives him 60 days and can extend once with 30 days at Immigration. If he already has two Visa Exempt Entries by land border only alternative is flying out and back in, no official limit on these entries but Immigration can start asking questions when you use this method several times.

But its already his second visa exempt entry, so he can only come back by plane or with tourist visa right?

you state he came in and got a 30 day visa exempt entry and then extended it by 30 days. That's ONE 30 day visa exempt entry and if he didn't come into the country by land it doesn't count against the TWO you're allowed by land in a year.

You can also fly In/Out as many times as you like for an additional 30 day visa exempt stamp...,or as many times before an Immigration Official says something

He came into Thailand with a Visa Exempt Entry for 30 days (not a visa) and you can extend the admitted to stay period once with 30 days. If he applies for a new Extension it will be denied and he will get 7 days to leave the country. Better option is to do a border run for a new Visa Exempt entry for 30 days, you can only do this twice a calendar year, and extend those 30 days again at Immigration if he want to stay longer. Or apply for a Tourist Visa at Consulate or Embassy in neighbor country.

You can come in and out as many times as you want, it's only land border crossings are restricted to twice per year. Fly in and fly out and still get visa exempt.
