I received a non o visa good from Nov 14 to Feb 11. My arrival and departure dates on my airline tickets are Dec 5 2025 to March 4 2026. Will I be able to get an extension on my Non O visa or will I need to fly out of Thailand and come back in on visa exempt or some other scheme.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a Non-O visa valid from November 14 to February 11, with travel dates from December 5, 2025, to March 4, 2026. Several comments clarify that upon arrival, the user will receive a 90-day stay and will not require an extension for that period, as the travel dates align perfectly with the visa's duration. However, if interested in a longer stay, options like obtaining a retirement extension or keeping a balance in a Thai bank account for two months are suggested.

If you want to get a year's retirement extension then have a look at the Phuket Immigration Volunteers web site: https://piv-phuket.com/retirement If you have any questions you can email them at

You won't need an extension. When you arrive you will be stamped in for 90 days and according to your ticket you will be inside Thailand for exactly 90 days

Visa dates are your "enter within those dates". Then when you arrive you get 90 days permission to stay.

The non O dates you have been given is the time you have to enter thailand I.e. 3months. When you arrive between these dates you will be stamped in for 90 days, if you want longer then you will need to open a thai bank account and deposit 800kbaht for 2 months before you can apply for a year's extension

Remember the day you enter thailand is counted as day 1 of your 90 day visa

Many people make exactly that mistake, they think the day after they walk through Immigration is 1 day and start counting.

Yes they do but when people try to max out 60 or 90 days and didn't count arrival day and have a non changeable return ticket on day 61 or 91, no not the whole world I know but still not good when they see the last day stamp.
