Can I get an extension after my 90 days on a multiple NON-O Visa if I enter Thailand on the last day it’s valid?

I just got my multiple NON O Visa from my home country for this year. It says “visa must be issued by 27.08.2024” . If I arrive on this day until midnight in Thailand, I will get 90 days extra right? After those 90 days, is there still a possibility for the one time extension at CW immigration in Bangkok or not? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the validity and extension options of their multiple NON-O Visa, specifically relating to entry on the last permitted day. According to community comments, entering Thailand on the visa's expiry date grants a full 90-day stay. Furthermore, it is possible to apply for a one-time extension at immigration in Bangkok when less than 45 days remain on the current 90-day stamp.

Just curious what 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 are you asking about? The 60 day visit thai family extension?

@Tod ********
yes exactly. I asked as they METV was possible to extend maxing out 180 days + 60 days + 30 days.

some offices will let you get that 60 day visit family extension on every ENTRY (meaning you could get it on each of the 90 day entry stamps from the visa) BUT some only let you get it once per VISA (meaning you would wait until the last 90 day entry and then take it giving you a total of 17 months out of that visa)

Great . That’s what I wanted to know. I’ll save that for the last 90 days to be 100% sure. So I would be ok until my Christmas Holidays 2024. But that includes a 90 days report right, as I would be over 90days in Thailand?

@Philip ***
nope, you DO NOT do 90 day reporting on a multi-entry Non-O visa even if you took a 60 day extension on the 90 day stamp

You have to have a stamp that lets you stay 90 days for the same REASON to do 90 day reporting, and you have an 90 day entry stamp based on marriage to a thai but the 60 day extension is based on "visiting thai family" totally different reason

You do not do 90 day reporting

A year long multi-entry Non-O visa works like this it's valid for a year from the date it's issued and each entry is good for 90 days

Even if you enter the last day the visa is valid for (in your case you say AUG 27, 2024) you would still get stamped in for 90 days

You can apply for an extension on ANY of those 90 day entries when you have 45 days or less left on your current 90 day stamp

OK. Thanks 🙏

Do you have to have a specific reason for such an extension? How long an extension can you get?

@Geoff ******
you can apply for a 60 day visit thai family extension if you're married to a thai or have thai children.

Otherwise you got only the year extension option
