I am currently on the 4th extension of my non-immigrant O visa (marriage), next 1-year extension is due by December 3rd, but due to the COVID situation i will be in Spain by then (leaving in Sept, coming back Jan - Feb). Is it possible to do the next extension at the Thai Embassy in Spain or will i have to apply for a new non-O visa in Spain? I understand this doesnt make much sense as it is an extension of stay while im not in the country but Im asking this for the implications this has (in case i want to apply for PR, thai nationality, etc... as i need a minimum of 3 extensions of the current non-O visa, and i'd have to start the count from zero once again). Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual in question is seeking to extend their Non-Immigrant O visa (marriage) while being outside of Thailand due to COVID-19. It was clarified that extensions can only be processed at immigration offices in Thailand, and attempting to extend from abroad is not possible. Instead, they would need to apply for a new Non-O visa upon returning to Thailand, which would reset the count for the required extensions needed for permanent residency.

Sadly, you can not get an extension of stay outside the country. You'll have to get a new Non-O Visa based on marriage to a Thai national, and the "clock" to get PR will reset.
SOME immigration offices allow the extension of stay to be renewed 45 days early, and some may allow the extension of stay to be renewed earlier if there are very strong circumstances. I *doubt* there'll be any that will let you renew 90 days early (or thereabouts), but you are out of nothing to ask.
