Hello! I currently hold a work permit and 3 month non-O single entry visa good till May and would like to apply for the one year non-O single entry visa. I can apply for this in Thailand or outside, but have been told that in order to apply outside of Thailand, you can only apply in your country of origin. Does anyone have any experience with this or any suggestions? Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of applying for a one-year Non-O single entry visa extension while currently holding a three-month Non-O visa and work permit. Comments clarify that the individual can apply for an extension within Thailand at a local immigration office instead of being restricted to applying from their country of origin.

You were told incorrect information. You already hold a 90 day Non-O visa and all you want is a yearly extension.

The foundation gives you documentation that you take to the immigration office in your area and apply for a yearly extension of stay for 1900baht.

I guess that your Single Non Immigrant O Visa was based on marriage, so you can apply inside Thailand for 1 year Extension Of Stay at a local Immigration Office.

So you work as volunteer for this foundation? They should know how to help you.
