Hi guys! Has anyone had any success attaining an ED Visa recently from a language centre while on the Covid-19 amnesty (tourist-visa exemption)? I had a school just tell me that I couldn’t apply for an ED visa because I’m currently on the Covid-19 amnesty. Just curious to see what schools allow you to apply, regardless of your current visa status. Thanks, all!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of obtaining an Education Visa (ED Visa) from a language center while under the Covid-19 amnesty program. Comments indicate that obtaining this visa may not be possible while on amnesty and suggest needing to leave the country for the application.

I think Universities can process the ED Visa without you leaving if your want to do a degree course, but not a language school. You need to leave the country.

You can not get an extension of stay based on being a student at a Thai language school while being on amnesty.
