TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can extend your 60-day tourist visa (TR) for an additional 30 days at the nearest immigration office in Thailand. However, regulations may vary based on current conditions such as COVID-19. Concerning the conversion of a tourist visa to a work permit, while it's generally not straightforward, it may be possible. It's advisable to check with relevant immigration authorities for the most current guidance.

yes you can extend your TR visa for an additional 30 days. In Bangkok, they are currently not giving the extra 60 days for a covid extension, as you're eligible for the 30 days. who knows what will happen in a month or so time.

As for the converting to a work permit, i'm not sure, but i don't see why it couldn't be done.
